Body-Mind Centering® into Contact Improvisation Workshop

The fascial network in our body offers a continuous connective web throughout the whole system. It links every part and underlies elasticity and adaptability. By storing and releasing elastic potential, fascia participates dynamically in movement. It creates spaces and compartments, supportive and mobile wrappings that distribute tensional forces—a three-dimensional, fluid network through which we can find responsiveness, clarity, softness, and dynamic flow. It allows us to feel and direct movement.

We will use the landscapes of fascia and connective tissue to explore the micro- and macrocosm within ourselves and our partners, earth and space, following their multidirectional potential. By sensing support, weight, and continuity through the connective tissues, we deepen listening and ease in Contact Improvisation. By sinking deeply into ourselves, subtle cellular sensations can unfold into dynamic movement, gradually expanding into a spacious, full-bodied dance.
