27 – Omental Bursa
In this video we are exploring the realtionship of the mesentery and peritoneum, the “wrapping” around the digestive organs and inner lining of the body cavity with the perineum, the center of the pelvic floor. By releasing the connective tissue sheaths around the intestines into gravity and drawing them back we play with the range of tone that is possible in the belly. As it is connected to the perineum it has an affect on the pelvic floor and vice versa. A little embryology in the beginning to start with allows us to understand where this foldings come from. Ending with “embryonic breathing”, a breathing technique into the omental bursa and greater omentum and further into inner fluid spaces.
